13 S10 Documentation on William Rhodes (BIRTH: MILITARY: OCCUPATION: Revolutionary War Pension File of William Rhodes VA, #S1324, 2nd VA, Continental Line; National Archives. MILITARY: Wm. Rhodes served in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted as a private Soldier in the 2nd Virginia Regiment of the Continental line at Alexandria, Virginia on Sept. 1 1775. In his tour of duty was as far north as New York and as far south as Georgia. William was promoted Corporal in 1779, and was discharged about July 3, 1783 in Richmond, Virginia.
